How may we help you?

Antelope Audio Thunderbolt devices are currently observed to be experiencing performance issues with Intel-based 10th Gen Ice Lake processors available on 2020 Mac computers.
We've been receiving reports on the following behaviour - crackles in the audio stream over Thunderbolt, at regular intervals, somewhat resembling the sound of a 'Geiger counter'.

Reports online suggest that there are many Thunderbolt and USB issues with Ice Lake-based Macs with no apparent solutions. MacOS Big Sur 11.2 has been reported to partially resolve some of these issues, however, this is yet to be confirmed. MacOS Catalina 10.15.6 appears to be the most problematic.

We are actively following the situation and are expecting updates from Apple resolving this behaviour.
This article will be updated to reflect any forthcoming information.

At this stage, we advise our users to continue using their devices with a USB Connection, using a USB to Thunderbolt adapter.

We also encourage you to contact Apple Support and make your case known.
