How can I control the levels of the preamps from a DAW?

The MP32 can be controlled only via the Software Control Panel.


How can I bypass the preamps of the MP32?

The MP32 has the option to switch all preamps to line level.


Does the MP32 has a guitar input?

The first four channels of the MP32 are Hi-Z inputs.


What is Hi-Z?

Hi-Z is an input meant to handle the impedance from a magnetic pickup on an electric guitar, witch is usually 500 kOhms. The Hi-Z mode is to be used only when a guitar is plugged in preamp inputs 1–4 of the MP32.


Can the MP32 work as a standalone device?

If a user makes all adjustments and saves them to a preset, there should be no problem for the unit to work without a USB connection.

NOTE! Using the MP32 without a USB connection will not allow the user to make any changes in the device settings if needed!


How many presets can be saved with the MP32 Software Control Panel?

With MP32 you can save up to 3 presets per device. They can be overwritten and recalled at any time via the Control Panel.


Is the MP8d an audio interface?

The MP8d only does A/D conversion. Then the audio signal is carried digitally. The only D/A conversion in the MP8d is in the Headphone Output.

Can the MP8d preamps be bypassed?

Like its predecessor MP32, the MP8d can switch every channel to Mic or Line level.

Is the MP8d using the same preamps as MP32?

Both MP32 and MP8d use Class-A preamplifiers, but the devices differ in their internal architecture.


How do the inserts of the MP8d work?

The inserts on the MP8d correspond to channels 1 & 2. When using make sure they are connected with a “Y” cable to the external processor.


Can the MP8d be used as standalone device?

MP8d can store 5 presets with user settings and adjustments. Once stored there should be no problem for the unit to work without a USB connection.

NOTE! Using the device without a USB connection will not allow the user to make any changes and adjustments in the Software Control Panel!


Is there a way to switch between Mic and Line level without using the control panel?

Press the knob on every channel of the to switch between Mic/Line (and Hi-Z on channels 1 & 2). The light indicator above the knob will light with different colors for the different modes.
